"The Word of God is the fulcrum upon which the lever of prayer is placed, and by which things are mightily moved" - E.M. Bounds
If you are in need of prayer or a renewal of your spirit we will pray for and with you. God is bigger than any situation. Come bring your sorrow, pain and praise to the altar of God during this week of prayer. It will be a time of prayer, reflection and teaching on the Word of God as it relates to Love, Obedience, Conflict, Repentance, Forgiveness and Reconciliation.
All are welcome to join us: youth, seasoned saints, neighbors, families and friends. There can never been enough prayer and praise for God! More prayer, more power!
Prayer Service Times: Monday (7pm), Tuesday (6pm), Wednesday (7pm), Thursday (7pm), Friday (7pm)
The Living Room is a place where people can stop by and have a conversation about their relationship with God. It is my prayer that we will learn to place God first in our lives and strive to live a life that is pleasing and acceptable to Him. ALL are welcome in the Living Room. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ this blog will prayerfully serve as a place to increase your faith. If you are not a believer it will prayerfully serve as a place for you to get to know Him.

Letter to Parents of Young People.......
Parents,
The purpose of Bible Study is to foster and cultivate your child’s relationship with God through the reading and understanding of His word. Even more important than your child’s education is your child’s Christian education.
Please ensure that your child is studying the word EVERY DAY. It has to become part of their routine. If they see you studying the word, it will encourage them to do the same. Parents have a vial role in the spiritual growth of their children. It is your responsibility: “Hear O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are away on a journey, when you are lying down and when you are getting up again. Tie them to your hands as a reminder, and wear them on your forehead. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” Deuteronomy 6:4-9
God is telling us through this scripture that we must teach His word to our children.
After the death of Joshua and that generation of Israelites, the Bible says that another generation grew up who did not acknowledge the Lord or remember the mighty things he had done for Israel. It goes on to say that this generation abandoned God to serve Baal and other gods of the people around them. (Judges 2:8-15)
I believe that this will happen to this generation of our young people if we do not make absolutely sure that they are sure of their own salvation and that they are rooted and grounded in Jesus Christ.
My sincere prayer for all young people as well as for you, the parents, is the same prayer that Paul had for the church at Philippi. “I pray that your love for each other will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in your knowledge and understanding. For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until Christ returns. May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation – those good things that are produced in your life by Jesus Christ – for this will bring much glory and praise to God. (Philippians 1:9-11)
To God be the glory!

Bible Study....Be blessed by the word of God
Bible Study
***young people here is the Bible Study as promised....Be blessed by the word of God
WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT?
If you abide in My word (hold fast to my teachings and live in accordance with them), you are truly My disciples.
And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
John 8:31, 32
Any thought that is in opposition to the word of God is a lie. The word of God is the truth and if you believe it and follow its teachings, it will SET YOU FREE! If you do not believe and follow its teachings you will be eternally bound!
Keep your mind focused on the things of real value and worth – God’s law and His Word. Real life is not measured by the things we have but by our relationship with God. (Psalm 119:36-37)
2 Corinthians 10:4,5
Satan tries to conquer us through our minds. What we think ultimately leads to what we do. If we ask God to control our thoughts then our actions will be controlled by God as well.
We must know the word of God well enough to be able to compare what is in our mind with what is in the mind of God. Any thought that comes against or exalts itself above the Word of God we must reject.
Ephesians 2:1-2
As Christians we should not be led by our own desires and impulses of the flesh. Those who are not believers are led by satan and the world. We should not think or act like them. Follow the example of Christ, not your friends.
Consider the choices you make. The type of music you listen to, your friends, what you wear..all of these things must be considered if you are going to represent Christ.
Romans 8:5
Our minds are the leaders of all of our actions. STOP ENGAGING IN ACTIVITIES, LISTENING TO MUSIC, WATCHING MOVIES, ETC. THAT INSPIRE AND CAUSE YOU TO PURSUE THOSE THINGS THAT GRATIFY THE FLESH.
Memorization Verse: Psalm 119:48 I honor and love your commands. I meditate on your principles. Repeat this scripture daily! Get it in your spirit. Love the word of God! It will set you free!
Scriptures for meditation this week
Romans 12:2
Ephesians 2:1-2
Philippians 4:8
1 Corinthians 2:16
